The head of state expressed the need to force Russia into “normal, meaningful” negotiations
President Vladimir Zelensky expressed the need to force Russia to negotiate on the basis of international law, not terrorism. The head of state said this in an evening video message on Friday, November 8.
The Ukrainian leader announced the results of the work with the leadership of the partner countries next week.
“Today is the full day of meetings and conferences in Kyiv after the summit of the European Political Community in Budapest The Ukrainian position is presented… And next week should also bring corresponding results – results in our work in partners,” Zelensky said.
The head of state also announced negotiations with the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, where they discussed issues of cooperation, defense and political support, as well as contacts with other states and leaders that are important for to peace in Ukraine and throughout Europe.
“We are doing everything to force Russia into normal, meaningful negotiations based on international law, not terrorism,” Zelensky added.
Let’s recall that the Financial Times previously reported that Russia and Ukraine allegedly “started preliminary negotiations” through Qatar, aimed at “stopping the attack on the energy infrastructure of both countries.” Then the Office of the President called it disinformation.
