Following the animation released in 2016, ‘Zootopia 2’, singer Sharkira will be back in the cast to voice the character from the first film
The “Disney Studios” panel at D23 Brasil, held today, 8th, at the Transamerica Expo Center, in São Paulo, the capital, was full of news! One of them, however, was even more awaited by fans of Shakira: the singer will return to the dubbing cast of “Zootopia 2” as Gazelle.

“Zootopia” is the animation released in 2016 in which Judy Hopps, the first police rabbit in the city known as Zootopia, is introduced. In the plot, Judy ends up making a great discovery in her first big case: there is an evil that could affect all local residents!
This evidence is acquired with the unexpected help of Nick, a fox known for committing infractions. With that, two go on a dangerous journey, he to free himself from the bars, and she to keep things in order.
The ongoing sequel does not yet have a synopsis revealed to the public. However, it is possible that the unlikely duo will take another chance on a new case, as this time a dangerous viper called Gary, who is given the voice of Ke Huy Quan (Loki) in the original dubbing version will complicate things.
The first film in the franchise is available on Disney+. “Zootopia 2” opens on November 26, 2025 in the United States.
Comic series?
Before the sequel, ‘Zootopia’ will get a comic book series! The story, which will be released in January next year, has the same title as the film released in 2016 — which will have the plot continued in the comic, where new cases of Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde will be presented.
The idea is that a new case of the duo will be presented every month. To this end, the series, which will be published by Dynamite Entertainment, will have a script written by Jeff Parker (Thunderbolts), while the art will be in charge of Alessandro Ranaldi (Disney Villains: Hades).
