Citizens of the Balkan countries, Estonia and Russia are involved in the drug supply case.
In the Leningrad region of Russia, the transit channel for the supply of drugs from Latin America to EU countries has been blocked. More than a ton of cocaine was seized. The FSB of the Russian Federation reported this on Friday, November 8.
Five people were allegedly involved in drug transit – citizens of the Balkan countries, Estonia and Russia. Drugs worth more than 3.5 billion rubles (about $36 million – ed.) were seized from them. The court arrested the defendants.
The drugs were planned to be transported across the border in a truck equipped with a “high-tech cache.” Cocaine is packaged in briquettes weighing 1 kg.
Earlier, the Russian Federation said they accidentally shipped 76 kg of cocaine. Drug briquettes were accidentally discovered by vegetable warehouse workers in Kaliningrad while unloading boxes of Colombian bananas.
It was also reported that over a ton of cocaine was found in coffee bags in St. Petersburg.
