A more decisive reaction from the West to the role of the DPRK in the war against Ukraine is needed, the president emphasized.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on the sidelines of the European Political Community summit in Budapest. The head of state announced this on Telegram on Thursday, November 7.
“In a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, he spoke about the situation on the battlefield, especially about the participation of the North Korean military in the Russian aggression against Ukraine A more decisive reaction from the countries West on North Korea’s new role in the Russian-Ukrainian war is necessary,” Zelensky wrote.
The parties also discussed the implementation of the decisions of the NATO summit in Washington, in particular, on the strengthening of air defense, investments in the Ukrainian production of shells, drones and long-range weapons.
“Ukraine needs permission to use long-range weapons against military targets on Russian territory,” the president stressed.
Let’s recall that earlier Zelensky announced the first defeats in the military ranks of the DPRK in battles against the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, there are currently 11 thousand military personnel from the DPRK concentrated in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.
