Originally titled “Fantastic Four: First Steps”, the new Fantastic Four film had a title in Portuguese confirmed at the D23 stand
Brazilian fans of Marvel’s first family have a lot to celebrate! This is because, in addition to being able to take a peek at the stand dedicated to the group of heroes at D23 Brasil through an image shared on X (formerly Twitter), it was also possible to obtain confirmation of the Portuguese title of the new film: “Fantastic Four: First Steps”, which is a literal translation of the original version “Fantastic Four: First Steps”. To bring to life the main characters that appeared in Marvel comics, the following were cast: Pedro Pascal who will be Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic; Vanessa Kirby, who will play Sue Storm/Invisible Woman; Joseph Quinn who will play Johnny Storm/Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrachwho completes the quartet as Ben Grimm/The Thing. In addition to them, Julia Garner was cast to play the Silver Surfer, while Ralph Ineson received the role of the villain Galactus.
Names like Paul Walter Hauser (The Richard Jewell Affair), Natasha Lyonne (Russian Doll) and John Malkovich (Being John Malkovich) will also act in the film, but the characters they play have not yet been revealed to the public.
Under the direction of Matt Shakman (WandaVision) and script signed by Josh Friedman (Avatar: The Way of Water), “Fantastic Four: First Steps” should be released in the United States on July 25, 2025. There is still no release date announced for the feature film’s arrival in Brazilian cinemas.
It is also worth remembering that D23 Brasil starts tomorrow, 8th, at the Transamerica Expo Center, in São Paulo, the capital. The event will also bring news on November 9th and 10th. Every day from 10am to 8pm.
