The training mission of the European Union for military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continues.
European Union ambassadors have decided to extend the EUMAM Ukraine military training mission to train Ukrainian military personnel. She will work for another two years. Radio Liberty journalist Rikard Jozwiak reported this on November 6 on the social network H.
According to him, this decision will allow the continuation of training of members of the Defense Forces, taking place on the territory of the 24 countries participating in the mission.
Over the past two years, about 70 thousand Ukrainian military personnel have completed the training program.
As you know, the European Union training mission for military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (EUMAM Ukraine) was created in October 2022. This mission provides comprehensive training for the Ukrainian military and coordination of the actions of the countries involved. The initial mandate of the mission was two years, and the total costs for this period amounted to 106.7 million euros.
Let us remind you that the Ukrainian Navy took part for the first time in the largest NATO exercise on the use of unmanned systems in maritime operations – REPMUS 24. During the maneuvers, the Ukrainian military coordinated the work of more than 50 unmanned vehicles of various types – underwater, sea, ground and air.
