According to him, Russia is moving towards Kurakhovo from three directions. According to the General Staff, over the past day, the majority of Russian attacks were in the Kurakhovsky direction.
At the beginning of October, Russian troops occupied Ugledar, at the end – Selidovo, with more than a dozen villages and towns between them. According to the calculations of the German publication Welt, Russian troops captured more than 470 square meters. km in just a month, and this is the largest increase in the captured territory since March 2022.
During the day, 131 military clashes took place at the front: the enemy attacks most of all in the Kurakhovsky and Pokrovsky directions, the General Staff reported in the evening report on November 5.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy concentrated the main offensive efforts in the areas of the settlements of Novoosinovo and Lozovaya, where he attacked seven times.
In the Liman direction, during the day, Russian invaders attacked Ukrainian positions 9 times near Zagryzovoy, Grekovka, Novomikhailovka, Ternov and Torskoye. All attacks were successfully repelled by our defenders.
In the Pokrovsky direction, the invaders tried 31 times to break through our defenses near the settlements of Promin, Lisovka, Novogrodovka, Kruty Yar, Selidovo and Grodovka. 3 clashes in the Selidovo area are still ongoing.
In the Kurakhovsky direction, the enemy attacked our positions 51 times.
