North Korean soldiers would be legitimate targets if they fought on Russia’s side, the White House said.

The United States has recorded the presence of approximately 10 thousand North Korean troops in the Kursk region of Russia. It is expected that they may be involved in the battle in the next few days. US State Department Speaker Matthew Miller said this in a briefing.

“Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that about eight thousand North Korean troops have been sent to the Kursk region. We now estimate that about 10 thousand have been sent there and may enter the battle in the coming days,” said Miller.

He noted that the United States is concerned about increased military cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang. In addition, Washington paid attention to media reports about the participation of North Korean soldiers in the conflict. According to Miller, he has not been able to confirm this information on behalf of the United States, however, if it is true, then the North Korean military is a legitimate target for destruction.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that 11 thousand military personnel from North Korea have been assigned to the Kursk region.

As reported, North Korean troops engaged in war with the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the direction of Kursk. North Korean forces were shot down.

The media learned the details of the agreement between the DPRK and Russia on the supply of troops
