The leaders in the number of applicants are Dnipropetrovsk region (5423 students), Lviv region (4829) and Kyiv (4526). A total of 219,438 students of various courses started their studies in the fall.

Education Minister Oksen Lesnoy said that blue-collar professions are the basis for the Ukrainian economy, especially during the recovery period. He is confident that by choosing vocational technology, young people can fully realize themselves and build a successful career.
Deputy Minister for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization Dmitry Zavgorodniy noted that students are increasingly choosing complex professions, such as turners or welders.
In addition, according to the official, professional technicians in the regions themselves are becoming more technologically advanced, with better quality equipment and a larger number of business partners. Yes, this year it is planned to renovate another 100 workshops in vocational schools.
Ukrainian women will be given vouchers to get specialties in “male” professions. Deputy Minister of Economy Tatyana Berezhnaya spoke about the corresponding experimental project.
