Ukraine receives weapons according to support packages. The best results were in artillery supplies, the president said.
Western partners have increased the amount of supplies for the needs of the Ukrainian army. President Vladimir Zelensky announced this on Telegram on Monday, November 4.
The head of state said that today he held a meeting with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky, Chief of the General Staff Anatoly Bargilevich and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
“There are significant changes in the issues of supplies from front partners – we are recording an increase in supplies according to support packages. The best results are in artillery supplies,” Zelensky wrote.
According to him, Umerov reported the supply of Ukrainian-made drones to the Defense Forces – the approved delivery plans are being fulfilled.
“I ordered the Minister of Defense to further increase the order of Ukrainian drones for our relevant operations,” the president said.
The situation at the front was also discussed in the meeting.
“The direction of Pokrovskoe, Kurakhovskoe, Toretskoe, and also Kupyanskoe – a separate report on the Kursk operation and the destruction of Russian forces in some areas near the border of our state,” added Zelensky.
In the past, Vladimir Zelensky has repeatedly criticized the West for delays in providing long-promised weapons. In September, he said that due to a lack of weapons, Ukraine could not provide even four of the required 14 brigades.
