Several teams put out the big fire. No one was on the train when the incident occurred and no one was injured.
A regional train caught fire at a train station in the suburbs of Berlin. The incident took place on the evening of Saturday, November 2, reports the Berliner Kurier.
It is known that the fire was extinguished by rescuers from Berlin, as well as by volunteer units from different towns.
Images circulating on social media showed flames coming from train windows and thick smoke billowing out of the station.
According to the federal police, the fire started at approximately 21:50, after which traffic stopped on this line. No one was on the train when the incident occurred and no one was injured.
It was reported that the diesel carriage caught fire first. What exactly is behind the fire – a technical malfunction or some other cause of the fire – is still unclear. In the evening, a spokesman for Deutsche Bahn said that the train station where the fire occurred was closed.
Let’s remember that last year nine people died in a train fire in southern India. The survivors had to break down the door to get out of the carriage.
And this summer, a diesel train caught fire near Rivne. No one was killed or injured in the fire.
