The IDF killed a Hezbollah commander responsible for the series of attacks

An Israeli Air Force fighter destroys Faura in southern Lebanon. His unit was the first to fire into Israel on October 8, 2023.

The IDF killed Hezbollah commander Jafar Hader Faur, who was responsible for the country’s first rocket attacks on October 8, 2023. The Jerusalem Post reported this on Saturday, November 2.

It was noted that an Israeli Air Force fighter, in cooperation with the Northern Command, destroyed Faura in the Juaya region in southern Lebanon. The commander of the drone unit was also removed.

According to the publication, Faour is responsible for firing rockets and drones into northern Israel from eastern Lebanon. His unit fired the first shots into Israel on October 8, 2023, ordering military action on Israel’s northern border.

“He was also responsible for a rocket attack on the Golan Heights that killed Israeli civilians… and an attack on Majdal Shams that killed 12 children,” the report said.

In addition, Faour was responsible for the rocket attack on Metula on Thursday.

It will be recalled that five people died and another was seriously injured as a result of a rocket strike in the town of Metula in northern Israel on Thursday, October 31.
