The corresponding day will now be celebrated not on November 3, as before, but on December 4, as evidenced by the president’s decree.

The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky has set a new date for the Day of Missile Forces and Artillery – December 4. This is confirmed by the text of Presidential Decree No. 748/2024 of November 2.

“Respecting the courage and heroism of the soldiers of the missile and artillery forces, demonstrated in the struggle for independence, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as with the aim of creating new military traditions, I decided establish the Day of Missile Forces and Artillery in Ukraine, which is celebrated annually on December 4,” the document said.

The President also revoked the decree of the President of Ukraine of October 31, 1997, which established the Day of Missile Forces and Artillery on November 3.

The Decree shall enter into force on the date of publication.

Earlier, Vladimir Zelensky awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine to pilot Andrey Pilshchikov with the call sign “Juice” posthumously.
