Iranian military commanders are preparing a list of dozens of military targets in Israel.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ordered a strike against Israel in response to an attack by Israeli troops on October 26. The New York Times reported this, citing sources.
Three unnamed Iranian officials said Khamenei had given the order to prepare the attack plan from the Supreme National Security Council.
According to them, the Supreme Leader of Iran made this decision after becoming familiar with the extent of the damage caused by the IDF strike to the production of missile and air defense systems around Tehran, energy infrastructure and the main port in the south of the country.
Military commanders are preparing a list of dozens of military targets in Israel. The strike itself is expected to take place after the US presidential election, which will take place on November 5.
The reason for this is Iran’s concern that the escalation of tensions in the Middle East could “play into the hands” of US presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Let’s recall that on October 26, Israel launched strikes on Iranian targets in response to an initial Iranian missile attack. Explosions were recorded in Tehran and other cities.
According to media reports, Israel destroyed all S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems during air strikes on military targets in Iran.
