TWICE confirmed as special guests at Coldplay concert in Seoul

STARS! This Friday, the 1st, the British band Coldplay, who is currently traveling the world with their “Music of the Spheres” world tour, announced through social media that their performances in the city of Seoul, capital of South Korea, will feature with the special participation of a renowned k-pop girl group: TWICE!

According to the announcement, the shows are scheduled to take place on April 16, 18, 19, 22, 24 and 25, 2025 at Goyang Stadium, where Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mine, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu must attend every day.

Despite confirming their presence, there is no information as to whether TWICE will just open Coldplay’s shows, or will take the stage with the band to sing together.

Coldplay and K-pop

It’s worth remembering that this won’t be the first time that Coldplay collaborates with K-pop artists. In 2021, the band led by Chris Martin released the successful collaboration with BTS, “My Universe”, a track that is part of the album that bears the name of the current tour, “Music of the Spheres”, and which won a mini-documentary to present the behind-the-scenes of the epic partnership.

Furthermore, the band members were responsible for participating in the co-writing and production of the band’s solo debut single. Jin“The Astronaut”, released in 2022, a track that also marked the artist’s last release before his military enlistment.

In the same year, days before reporting to the South Korean army, Jin traveled to Argentina to perform the song alongside the band at a show in the country, on the day of the song’s release. Remember!

Months later, Chris Martin made a point of honoring Jin and surprise fans again, singing “The Astronaut” at a Coldplay concert in Bangkok, Thailand, in addition to frequently using a brooch or patch of the astronaut character created by the idol, Wootteo, during performances.
