A former deputy from the Party of Regions turned out to be a Russian agent.
The security service exposed a 48-year-old ex-deputy of the Shostka City Council in the Sumy region as working for the Russian FSB. The attacker spied on the Defense Forces – secretly tracked the directions of movement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces echelons and recorded the locations of the Ukrainian troops defending the borders of the Sumy region. The SBU press center reported this on November 1.
The traitor also tried to find out the information he needed from his acquaintances during “everyday conversations.” He sent all the data to a personnel officer of the FSB department for the Bryansk region.
It turned out that the attacker asked the Russians to strike the city, including the TCC buildings, as quickly as possible.
The former “regional” was detained at his place of residence in Shostka. His mobile phone was confiscated red-handed. The detainee has already been informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 (high treason committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Let us remind you that in the Donetsk region the SBU detained a volunteer of the UN World Food Program who worked for the Russian FSB. The traitor spied on the locations of the Defense Forces in the Pokrovsky direction.
