An FSB agent was detained in the Sumy region. He turned out to be a 48-year-old ex-deputy of the Shostka City Council from the outlawed Party of Regions, who spied on the Defense Forces and called on the Russians to bomb the city. The SBU reported this on November 1.
It was noted that the agent secretly monitored the movement directions of the echelons of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and recorded the locations of Ukrainian troops defending the border of the Sumy region. To do this, he drove around the area in his car and took relevant photos and videos.
In addition, the traitor tried to find out the information he needed from acquaintances in everyday conversations. He sent the information received to a staff member of the FSB department for the Bryansk region. His identity and personal data have been established by the Security Service.
In intelligence reports, in addition to giving coordinates, the traitor asked the Russians to strike the city as soon as possible, including the TCC buildings.
The former deputy was detained at his residence in Shostka.
According to the SBU, the defendant was remotely recruited by the FSB in July of this year. During the search, a mobile phone with evidence of subversive activity was confiscated from him.
The former deputy was informed of the suspicion of treason committed under martial law.

We remind you that earlier the SBU detained two FSB agents who were correcting the air strikes of the Russian Army in Donetsk, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Poltava and Cherkassy regions.
It has also been reported that an agent of the Russian military intelligence (better known as the GRU) is imprisoned in Kharkov, preparing a new series of missile and bomb attacks on the city. To collect intelligence, the agent “earned the trust” of Ukrainian defenders. He also offered the military, for a nominal fee, to help with day-to-day issues, in particular, to clean the temporary housing.
