The aggressor country Russia began to use the Shahed-136 UAV with thermobaric warheads.
Specialists from the Kyiv Forensic Research Institute examined the wreckage of these attack drones, which the occupiers used in a series of attacks from October 26 to 29. It turned out that the enemy had modified the drones to install thermobaric warheads on them. This is stated in a report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
It is also reported that Ruselectronics, a subsidiary of the Russian state defense conglomerate Rostec, has developed a coating for the TOS-1A Solntsepek thermobaric artillery systems. This coating absorbs radio waves, making the installations invisible to modern guidance systems and thermal imagers.
Let us recall that on the eve of the Defense Express publication it was reported that the Russian Federation is working to reduce the cost of launching Shaheds.
