A girl died in hospital after being strangled, beaten with a brick and burned by a teenage neighbor.
This was announced on October 31 by Sergei Bolvinov, head of the Investigative Department of the GUNP in the Kharkov region.
The girl was found alive in the garden; a 15-year-old girl was returning from a birthday party from another village with a neighbor. A 17-year-old boy started pestering him, and when he was refused, he attacked.
The girl broke free and ran outside. It was there that she received her first blows – six times to the head with a brick. She lost consciousness, and he dragged her from the yard to the garden.
He stopped right at the fence – raped the unconscious girl and tried to strangle her with his hands. And then, already in the garden, he started burning – for this he doused his girlfriend with diesel fuel.
It was raining, the lighter didn’t want to work, so I had to go get some matches. Finally, the girl’s clothes caught fire. He did not wait for the body to burn, he went into the house, changed clothes, hid his things behind the nightstand and fell soundly asleep.
The screams of his neighbors woke him up. The girl on the ground with smoke coming from her was seen by a man from a neighboring area when he went to the toilet. He immediately recognized the schoolgirl and called her mother. It was the rain that saved life – it did not extinguish the flame completely, but it also did not allow the child to burn.
For more than ten days, the girl fought for life in the hospital, but, unfortunately, it was not possible to save her. She died from terrible injuries last night in intensive care.
The guy can’t explain why he did it. He told all the details, but there was no explanation for the brutal cruelty. There was no one at home that night, because the guy lives alone with his father, he was on the night shift and works as a bodyguard. The mother left the family when the boy was seven years old. It was a trauma, relatives say.
And at the beginning of the Russian invasion, he survived the occupation, and this also affected his psyche, his father believes. The guy had shown aggression before, in his own family – he once hit his own grandmother on the head with a glass bottle.
The eldest in a large family died; her father died. Her mother is raising her and her three younger brothers herself.
Now the guy is in custody and faces a life sentence.
Due to the girl’s death, the suspect will be charged with premeditated murder coupled with rape.
