The Moscow City Court sentenced an IT specialist with dual citizenship who tried to transfer secret state information to the US Central Intelligence Agency to 13.5 years in prison. The defendant was found guilty of treason. This was reported by the Russian media in connection with the FSB.

According to investigators, Firuz Dadoboev, who had obtained information illegally and constituted a state secret, planned to transfer it to a representative of American intelligence. For this purpose, he established contact with the CIA.
He was detained in October 2022 while trying to transfer the collected classified materials.
The FSB said the defendant admitted his guilt and repented of his crime.
