The Norwegian Prime Minister noted that of this amount, 350 million euros is military aid.
Norway will give Ukraine a new aid package worth 500 million euros. More than half of this amount is military aid. Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre announced this at a press conference with the participants of the Ukraine-Northern Europe summit.
In a meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, the leaders of the Nordic countries met a clear assessment of what is happening on the fronts, the Norwegian official said.
Støre clarified that his country knows how many women and children are dying in Ukraine due to Russian shells and missiles.
“That is why we want to announce a new aid package of 500 million euros, of which 350 million euros will be allocated to the military package. We will work with our colleagues in Denmark to implement such an initiative,” added the leader of the Norwegian government.
Let us recall that Norway, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), has provided financial support for Ukraine with a total of NOK 1.1 billion ($105 million) for the restoration of energy infrastructure and the creation of capacities of reserve.
