The attack on Kharkov by guided aerial bombs occurred on October 28 at 21:00.
A hit was recorded in an administrative building (Derzhprom).
Several floors were destroyed.
Six victims are known to be in mild to moderate condition. There are no difficult ones.
For every Kharkov resident, Gosprom is a symbol of the city. The building, at one time the first Soviet skyscraper built in the constructivist style, is included in the list of architectural monuments of Ukraine.
Before retreating in August 1943, during the so-called “cleansing” of Kharkov, the Germans mined Gosprom, like many other buildings in the city, but the explosion was prevented by an unknown patriot.
In 2023, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) added the Gosprom building in Kharkov to the list of cultural assets that are under enhanced protection.
Derzhprom was also included in the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
