Reinforcement of units that directly conduct combat operations with professional medical personnel occurs at the request of commanders of combat military units.
Medical stations for unit stabilization located in combat areas will be considered professional medical personnel. The press service of the General Staff reported this on Monday, October 28.
“In order to maximize the life care of Ukrainian military personnel, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine decided to strengthen the medical services that provide medical care to our wounded soldiers in the battle zone with professionals medical personnel specifically, the stabilization points of military units and subunits,” the message said.
For this purpose, medical personnel from health institutions (hospital level) of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are involved.
The press service noted that the strengthening of units that directly conduct combat operations with professional medical personnel occurs at the request of commanders of combat military units.
“The sooner the condition of an injured serviceman is stabilized and he immediately receives medical care, the greater the chance of saving his life. Temporary and professional help saves the lives of our soldiers,” added the General Staff.
Separately, they added that military doctors are not “transferred to the infantry” – they will continue to work in their immediate specialty.

The General Staff assured that the combat brigades will continue to be strengthened by professional medical personnel to safeguard the lives and health of our defenders.
