Brigade headquarters at the front will be reinforced with professional doctors from rear hospitals.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on October 28.
They emphasized that the reinforcement by professional doctors occurs at the request of the commanders of those military units that are directly involved in hostilities.
Timely and professional assistance saves the lives of our soldiers. This is our main task,” the General Staff emphasized.
They recalled: the sooner the condition of a wounded serviceman is professionally stabilized and he promptly receives medical care, the greater the chance of saving his life.
A doctor cannot be trained in a month; such a specialist must have the appropriate level of education and professional experience. Since combat operations are now characterized by high intensity, there is a need for such specialists in combat units. Combat brigades will continue to be strengthened by professional medical personnel to preserve the life and health of our defenders,” the General Staff noted.
At the same time, they noted that “military doctors are not being ‘transferred to the infantry’ – they will continue to work in their immediate specialty.”
It was the fact that the General Staff allegedly “ordered the transfer of 1/5 of the doctors from military hospitals to infantry brigades” that was previously stated by MP from the Servant of the People Marianna Bezugla.
