Chief of the Armenian General Staff of the Armed Forces Edward Asryan said they are talking about cooperation “in all areas of defense.”
Armenia cooperates with the United States in all areas of defense, particularly military and military-technical. This is what the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia Edward Asryan said in response to journalists’ questions.
Asryan, when asked if Armenia has the opportunity to buy weapons from the United States, replied: “They are not talking about those things.”
The Armenian military leadership does not consider the threat of a military escalation in Azerbaijan possible. According to him, such developments are not considered.
“There is no risk of a military escalation on the part of Azerbaijan. The border situation is quite stable,” he emphasized.
As we have already written, Armenia is discussing with the United States the construction of a new nuclear power plant, which should replace the only Armenian nuclear power plant in Metsamor, which was built in the late 1970s.
