A massive brawl broke out at one of the polling stations in Tbilisi, and ballot dumping was also discovered in the city of Marneuli.
In the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi, a mass riot broke out near polling station No. 60, Georgian media reported.
Several dozen people took part in the battle. The conflict took place in a residential area of the city of Gldani.
The scuffle reportedly involved supporters of the pro-Russian Georgian Dream party and observers. Judging by the video from the scene, the police did not intervene in the situation.
And before that, during the parliamentary elections in Georgia, the first scandal involving ballot stuffing occurred. The country’s Interior Ministry opened a criminal case, and the Central Election Commission annulled the results at the compromised polling station.
According to local media, it happened at polling station No. 69 in the city of Marneuul. The polling station is closed.
It is reported that users of the social network identified the man with a stack of ballots and reported that he is a local official – the deputy chairman of the Marneuli City Council.
Physical violence was also reportedly used against the bystander who recorded the violations on video.
We remind you that the parliamentary elections in Georgia have started. It was previously reported that the elections in Georgia are called historic, because their result may indicate either the future integration of the state with the EU or contact with Russia.
