Explosions occurred in Tehran. The IDF announced targeted strikes on military targets in response to months of continued attacks.
On the night of Saturday, October 26, the Israel Defense Forces launched the long-declared retaliation against Iran. Military targets were attacked, the IDF said.
“In response to months of continued attacks by the Iranian regime against the State of Israel, the Israel Defense Forces are now conducting targeted strikes against military targets in Iran,” the statement said.
In its statement, the Israel Defense Forces accused Iran of “months of continuous attacks” and of supporting groups that frequently attack Israel.
“Like any other sovereign country in the world, the State of Israel has the right and responsibility to respond. Our defensive and offensive capabilities have been fully mobilized,” the IDF said.
Before this, Iranian media reported about explosions in Tehran.
NBC News, citing two senior Arab officials, reported that the Israeli strike on Tehran was likely to target barracks and weapons depots.

Let’s remember that on October 19, US President Joe Biden said he knew what Israel’s response would be to Iran’s missile attack.
In this regard, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that it plans to strike Iran’s military targets, and not nuclear or oil facilities.
