Despite blackouts in four regions, electricity consumption increased again due to cloudy weather in most regions of Ukraine.
As of this morning, due to Russian shelling and other reasons, 538 settlements in Ukraine are completely or partially without power. Ukrenergo reported this on Friday, October 25.
“Due to the conflict, there are new blackouts in the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv and Kharkov regions. For technical reasons, there are blackouts in the Dnipropetrovsk region,” the message said.
According to the company, electricity consumption in Ukraine increased again – by 3.5% compared to yesterday. This is explained by cloudy weather in most regions of Ukraine and the reduced efficiency of household solar power plants (SPP).
Meanwhile, emergency and scheduled repairs to energy facilities continue following the Russian attacks.
“During the hours of maximum consumption, there remains a lack of electricity in the energy system, therefore, it is better to use powerful electrical appliances during the efficient operation of solar power plants – from 10:00 to 16 :00.” power engineers noted.
Today, Ukraine imports electricity from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and Moldova with a total volume of 7439 MWh, with a peak power of up to 1290 MW at certain times.
We remind you that the National Security and Defense Council expects large-scale attacks on the Russian energy sector. The enemy may resume the attack at the beginning of the warm-up period.
