A full-scale war in Ukraine could escalate into a more global confrontation due to the sending of North Korean troops to aid Russia.
In just five years, new major wars could occur in Europe and the rest of the world. This was said on Thursday, October 24, by Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Office Mikhail Podolyak in an interview with Channel 24.
“I believe that within five years, wars will be large-scale in various regions, including in Europe, including in Central, central-southern Europe. There is no doubt,” he said.
According to Podolyak, in this case, the war will be a major instrument of foreign policy.
“If the democratic alliance still does not find this political will together, does not finally make the decisions that the President of Ukraine said absolutely clearly, which is absolutely clearly stated in the Victory Plan, then the autocratic alliances will only increase their influence on the global political process,” – he said.
Podolyak added that BRICS-type summits do not influence the global political process and noted that Moscow only views BRICS as an instrument of geopolitical pressure and justification for war. In addition, the Kremlin believes that it is “a tool that can give Russia hope that it can exist in this form for a few more decades.”
The Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) has denied Russian claims that an agreement was reached with South Africa at the BRICS summit to raise a loan in South African rands for state corporation VEB.
