Colonel Alexey Khalabuda has been appointed as the new chief of staff of the Unmanned Systems Forces (SBS) command. Suspilne reported this on Wednesday, October 23, citing its own sources at SBS.
It was mentioned that Khalabuda is the commander of the 28th Mechanized Infantry Brigade named Knights of the Winter March.
In 2010, he graduated from the Academy of Ground Forces with a specialization in “controlling the actions of mechanized forces units.”
It was also reported today that Captain First Rank Roman Gladky, who was appointed chief of staff of the Unmanned Systems Forces Command this summer, is no longer working in this post.
As you know, Gladky is an officer with many years of service experience in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has a military education and significant experience of serving in leadership positions in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After his appointment as chief of staff of the SBS Command, some activists and some media outlets spread information that Gladky was suspected of high treason, his wife allegedly had a Russian passport, and his son women have competed in competitions for the Russian Federation. The Command said that Gladky passed all the necessary checks of the Security Service of Ukraine in 2018-2019.
