NATO has no official information about the DPRK’s military participation in the battles in Ukraine, Rutte said.
Sending North Korean troops to fight the war against Ukraine could lead to further escalation. This was stated by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, according to the Alliance’s website.
At the same time, the Secretary General of NATO noted that there is no official information confirming these actions.
“It will be a significant increase. I cannot confirm it at the moment. Moreover, we will have the latest news from South Korea early next week,” Rutte said.
Let’s recall that North Korea criticized the statements of NATO that condemned the military cooperation between the DPRK and the Russian Federation and threatened that the position of the Alliance could have “tragic consequences.”
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, the first North Korean soldiers will arrive in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation to take part in the war against Ukraine today, October 23.
