More than 90 thousand cases to establish disability have been analyzed. The heads of the central MSEC and the relevant department of the Ministry of Health were dismissed.
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has begun to verify the validity of MSEC decisions to determine disability for men aged 18 to 60 years, taken during martial law. This was announced on Tuesday, October 22, by the Minister of Health of Ukraine, Viktor Lyashko.
Currently, more than 90 thousand cases have been analyzed and cooperation with law enforcement agencies has begun, which has led to arrests and showing suspicions, but the results are not enough.
As a result, the heads of the Central Medical and Social Expert Commission of the Ministry of Health, other related institutions and employees responsible for this area were dismissed.
“It is clear that these functions were performed improperly. Therefore, appropriate personnel decisions were made – the heads of the Central Medical and Social Expert Commission of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Ukrainian State Research Institute of Medical and Social Problems of Disability of the Ministry of Health, the Research Institute of Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities of the Vinnytsia National Medical University named after MI Pirogov and employees of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine responsible for this direction, “said Lyashko.
Currently, there is a public discussion of a new bill that provides for medical and social evaluation in cluster hospitals with the introduction of digital solutions and increasing the level of barrier-freeness for patients.
We remind you that on Tuesday, President Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree on the liquidation of MSEC from December 31, 2024 due to the abuse of officials of various government bodies resulting in disability.
In his evening speech, Zelensky said that he was not satisfied with the reports of two ministers about the situation with MSEC scandals – Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko and Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovich.
