Putin and Xi discussed the situation in Ukraine, bilateral relations, the international situation and the BRICS agenda.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin at the BRICS summit in Russia discussed with Chinese leader Xi Jinping the situation in Ukraine and further contacts to continue the dialogue. This was reported by RosSMI.

It is known that the meeting lasted for about an hour.

According to Kremlin Speaker Dmitry Peskov, Putin and Xi have long discussed the situation in Ukraine, bilateral relations, the global situation in general, the BRICS agenda, and “also outlined the main parameters for further contacts to continue the dialogue .”

Putin said, during negotiations with Xi, that Moscow plans to further increase coordination with Beijing on “all international platforms.”

It was earlier reported that Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in the Russian city of Kazan to participate in the 16th summit of BRICS leaders and meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
