The man drove around the territory of Kropyvnytskyi, where he tried to find anti-aircraft missile systems and radar stations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The security service detained an FSB agent in Kropyvnytskyi. He turned out to be a 34-year-old local resident who leaked to the Russians the locations and routes of the Defense Forces. The SBU press service reported this on Monday, October 21.
According to SBU counterintelligence data, the enemy is most interested in air defense firing positions and the location of logistics warehouses of Ukrainian troops.
To get intelligence information, the traitor traveled around the territory of the center of the region, where he tried to find anti-aircraft missile systems and radar stations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. If military objects were discovered, he had to photograph or film them, and then “link” the corresponding coordinates to Google maps.
The invaders needed the agent’s information to prepare a new series of missile and drone attacks in the region “bypassing” the Ukrainian air defense.
The defendant also monitors the time and place of movement of military columns moving towards the front line. To maintain secrecy, the attacker constantly changed the routes of reconnaissance forays, which were carried out under the guise of walks.
The security service caught the defendant in the act when he was conducting reconnaissance near a military facility.
The mobile phone he used to take pictures of the Defense Forces facility was seized from the scene. An anonymous chat was also found on the gadget in a popular instant messenger, which the agent used to contact the FSB.
SBU investigators informed him of suspicion of high treason committed under martial law. The attacker is in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of assets.
We remind you that an FSB agent operating in the Dnepropetrovsk region received a life sentence. An employee of the local station Ukrzaliznytsia was convicted.
The security service detained a traitor who aimed Russian artillery at his Ukrainian Armed Forces brigade.
