The body of Dmitry Golenkov, the pilot responsible for missile attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine, has been discovered in Russia.
On the morning of October 20, in the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation, the chief of staff of an aviation squadron, Dmitry Golenkov, who was involved in the massive shelling of Ukraine, was killed. This was reported by the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense on Monday, October 21.
It was noted that Golenkov was a pilot of the 52nd heavy bomber regiment of the Russian Federation (military unit 33310), based at Shaikovka airfield and armed with Tu-22M3 bombers. He served as chief of staff of the Russian aviation squadron.
The criminal’s body was found in the village of Suponevo near Bryansk with multiple head injuries, likely caused by a hammer.
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, Golenko was involved in missile attacks on Ukrainian civilian targets, specifically on October 27, 2022, at the Amstor shopping center in the city of Kremenchug, Poltava region. At the time of the attack, there were approximately 1,000 people in the shopping center. As a result of the war crime, 22 people died and dozens were injured.
The Russians were also responsible for a missile attack on a residential building in Dnepr on January 14, 2023, which killed 46 Ukrainian civilians, including six children.
