Russian invaders on the night of October 20 (from 21.00 October 19) attacked Ukraine with ballistic missiles from the territory of Crimea, Shahed-type attack drones and drones of an unknown type (launch areas – Russian Yeisk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk).
This was reported by the press service of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
It is noted that the radio technical troops of the Air Force detected and escorted 51 air targets:
- 49 enemy drones;
- two Iskander-M ballistic missiles.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine, the Air Force said.
As of 10:00 October 20:
- as a result of anti-aircraft combat, the defeat of 31 enemy UAVs was confirmed in Vinnitsa, Khmelnitsky, Zhytomyr, Lvov, Odessa, Sumy, Poltava, Cherkassy, Kyiv, Nikolaev, Dnepropetrovsk and Donetsk regions;
- 13 Russian drones have been lost in location; information on the downing/crash is being clarified and updated.
