The personal residence of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu in Caesarea on the morning of October 19 was attacked from Lebanon by a kamikaze drone.
This was reported in the Times of Israel. A direct hit was reported on the building. The prime minister and his wife were not in the residence at the time of the attack.
A drone launched from Lebanon struck the central seaside town of Caesarea early Saturday and targeted the private home of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his office said.
The brief statement from Netanyahu’s office came after the IDF said “a building was hit” in the elite city known for its luxury villas and Roman ruins and amphitheater.
It is not yet known whether the house sustained any damage. The Israel Defense Forces said the drone was one of three launched from Lebanon, the other two being shot down.
The military said it was investigating the incident, which apparently revealed several failures in Israel’s warning system.
There were no warning sirens in Caesarea before the drone struck and exploded. Footage posted on social media showed attack helicopters in the air, apparently chasing the drone further north.
But sirens blared in Glilot, north of Tel Aviv, where a large IDF intelligence base and Mossad headquarters are located. These sirens were not accompanied by warnings on the Home Front Command app or other platforms.
The drones and intercept also sounded warning sirens off the Israeli coast minutes before the strike.
We heard helicopters above us and it felt like there was some kind of incident, but there were no sirens, so we weren’t too worried,” one Caesarea resident told Channel 12. “But suddenly there was a big explosion, and it was not clear to us.” , whether it was the result of an interception or a drone strike, it was clear that this was a real incident without prior warning.
In two videos posted in Hebrew and English on social media after his home in Caesarea was targeted, Netanyahu insisted that “nothing will stop” him and that Israel will “win this war.”

The rare video statements released on Shabbat, a Jewish public holiday, did not directly mention the drone attack.
Filmed walking through a sunny park, wearing sunglasses and a black polo shirt, Netanyahu said in Hebrew:
You know, two days ago we liquidated [лідера ХАМАС] Yahya Sinwara. As I said, we are in an existential war and we continue until the end. “And I also want to say, I’m proud of our soldiers, I’m proud of our commanders, and I’m proud of you, the citizens of Israel.”
