In four training centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the duration of basic combined arms training was increased by 50%.
Now the BZIN will last 1.5 months, not 30 days, said Evgeniy Mezhevikin, deputy head of the Main Directorate of Doctrines and Training of the General Staff.
This is a pilot project, which, by decision of Commander-in-Chief Alexander Syrsky, is already being implemented on the basis of four key training centers. Currently, about 500 military personnel are involved in this experiment.
The updated program provides for studying the basics of using UAVs and trench electronic warfare and reconnaissance equipment, strengthening tactical fire training, reconnaissance and sabotage activities and survival skills at the front, especially in the cold season.
The results of the project will be analyzed in December 2024, after which Syrsky will decide whether to extend similar practices to other training centers, Mezhevikin noted.
