Ukrainian defenders liberated and cleared the settlement of Kruglyakovka from Russian occupiers, Kupyansky district, Kharkov region.
The operation to regain control over a settlement important for the defense of Kupyansk lasted from October 7 to October 14, 2024. The fighters of the “Brotherhood” unit worked as part of Timur’s special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine with the support of the 77th separate airmobile brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Main Intelligence Directorate announced this on Facebook on October 18.
The fighters said that the Russians resisted and tried to counterattack, but were defeated. The enemy assault was repelled, and then the GUR troops squeezed the enemy.
In Kruglyakovka, the invaders lost more than a platoon of infantry, which they destroyed in close battles. In addition, some of the occupiers were also captured. Thanks to this, it was possible to obtain important intelligence data.
The enemy was driven out of the populated area, and the routes of movement of the occupiers were mined.
Let us remind you that on September 24, the Main Intelligence Directorate carried out an operation, as a result of which the Russian occupiers managed to dislodge all the buildings of the aggregate plant in Volchansk. Soldiers of the Main Intelligence Directorate carried out systematic clearing of the plant’s buildings, constantly engaging in contact battles with the enemy in densely built-up conditions. In some cases, Ukrainian special forces engaged the enemy in hand-to-hand combat.
It also became known that the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov, took part in the dismissal of the aggregate plant in Volchansk.
