The regulator lowered the Hryvnia exchange rate, although in the interbank market the American currency rose in price at the level of 41.22-41.24 UAH/dollar.
The National Bank of Ukraine slightly strengthened the hryvnia against the dollar after falling for four days in a row. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Friday, October 18.
So, the official exchange rate for Monday is set at UAH 41.2308. for 1 dollar (-0.0043 UAH). In turn, the euro continues to fall and is worth UAH 44.7272 (-0.0665 UAH).
On the interbank market, the price of the American currency rose by 3 kopecks to 41.22-41.24 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the dollar exchange rate decreased by 5 kopecks to UAH 41.45.
Earlier it became known that the NBU will set the hryvnia exchange rate in a new way. The regulator presented a plan for moving to one – daily – basket of currencies to establish the official exchange rate.
It was also reported that in the past week the National Bank sold a record amount of currency.
