The artist, who served in the 9th battalion, decided not to continue his military service due to the advice of experienced military personnel and his health condition.
The famous Ukrainian actor Roman Matsyuta explained why he decided not to continue serving in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
At the beginning of the war, he joined the 9th Battalion DFTG, where he served until it was disbanded. After that, the artist weighs whether to continue serving or return to civilian life. With the advice of experienced military personnel, he decided to focus on what he already knew how to do better than others – supporting the country through his profession and charitable projects.
When the battalion was disbanded and we were told to find our own destiny, I asked experienced military personnel what to do next. And they told me not to rush, there is still enough war for you. You do what you can teach now, and you don’t need to be taught. If you can drive a car, drive a car. If you can sing, go to the front line and support the fighters. Do what you know how to do best. And then everything is in their place. So I did it. What happens next? Well, let’s see. Everything can change at any moment,” Matsuta said in an interview with Focus.
The actor also added that he was offered a position in the army, which did not include participation in the front line, but due to injuries and age, he decided not to accept. Instead, he chose the path of supporting Ukrainian defenders through charitable and cultural projects.
It was previously reported that Alexander Yarmak (YARMAK) criticized the mobilization methods due to TCC raids on public events.
