Russian troops have strengthened their presence on the Kinburn Spit.
Representative of the Southern Defense Forces Vladislav Voloshin announced this on air on one of the Ukrainian TV channels, the Ukrinform agency reports.
The Kinburn Spit is exactly that… a bridgehead from which it is convenient to conduct shelling of both Ochakov and the coastal territories, but carrying out any kind of offensive or crossing from there is quite problematic,” he noted. “And they (the occupiers – ed.) strengthened their contingent in order to protect themselves, so that our forces would not cross this spit and would not try to seize a bridgehead there.
According to Voloshin, the invaders strengthened their presence on the Kinburn Spit several weeks ago. In addition, the invaders transferred a division of river boats from Sevastopol to the Tendra Spit to strengthen the defense of this area.
