Alexander Lukashenko accused the West of wanting to “dominate the world and bomb those who raised their heads.”
The self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko “predicts” that the next battle “in the struggle for the re-division of the world” will take place in Central Asia. On Saturday, July 2, RIA Novosti reports.
At the same time, he accused the West of “bombing those who raise heads.”
“The reason is the emergence of new world relations, multipolarity. Now there is a struggle not only for our post-Soviet space, the European part of it, now a struggle has opened up for Central Asia, where our former Soviet republics are there, ”he said.
He pointed out that after mass protests in Kazakhstan earlier this year, he spoke about the danger of destabilizing the situation in Uzbekistan.
“Uzbekistan is starting to tremble. And now they are saying that foreigners are involved. They are not leaving Kazakhstan either. The situation there is difficult,” he continued.
According to Lukashenka, Central Asia found itself “between two fires.”
Earlier, he said that the countries of the former USSR should “come closer” to Belarus and Russia. For rejecting so -called unification, he threatened “loss of sovereignty.”
Recall that on the second day, thousands of protests continued in the autonomous republic of Karakalpakstan, which is part of Uzbekistan.
