A shootout between police and criminals took place in Greek Athens, one of the attackers was killed, two policemen were injured. This was announced on Saturday, July 2, by the Minister for the Protection of Citizens of Greece, Takis Theodorikakos, in his Twitter-account.

Theodorikakos had already visited the hospital where the injured law enforcement officers were, along with the police chief. According to him, the victims will soon be discharged.
The pronews.gr portal clarified that the incident started with a fight between two drivers due to the collision of their vehicles. One man got out of the car and shot the driver of another, the latter dying of his injuries in hospital. A passenger in his car ran onto the road, but was hit by a passing vehicle.
Later, the shooter left his car and stole another, and then robbed a gas station in the Agia Anargyri area, police started the chase, where a shootout took place. The portal reported that one policeman was injured in the leg, and the second in the chest.
The journalists also noticed that one of the dead was an Albanian.
