Ukraine may strengthen its air defense to better shoot down Russian missiles and suicide bombers.
Ukraine will soon strengthen its air defense. Specifically, to better shoot down enemy missiles and drones. President Vladimir Zelensky said this in an evening speech on Tuesday, October 15.
According to the head of state, today he heard a report from the commander of the Air Force on air defense – on shooting missiles and drones, as well as electronic warfare systems.
“We have discussed the format for strengthening the air defense, and there are already some decisions on Shahedam and some types of missiles,” Zelensky said.
In turn, the Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov reported on the instructions of the head of state to increase funding for the production of Ukrainian domestic weapons.
“Drones, electronic warfare, artillery. Attracting investment from partners. Our capabilities. By the end of this month we will have specific new contracts on our defense production in Ukraine,” Zelensky said.
According to him, this is one of our highest priorities. “No matter what happens in the world, Ukraine will have strength. This is the most important thing,” the president emphasized.
We remind you that tonight the air defense forces shot down 12 out of 17 attack drones launched by Russia. Four drones were lost.
