The US presidential candidate said that during his previous term he allegedly stopped the Kremlin leader from invading Ukraine.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has long sought to invade Ukraine, but it never happened, allegedly because of US President Donald Trump’s “position” at the time. Trump himself said this at an event at the city hall of the city of Oaks, in eastern Pennsylvania, reports The Telegraph.
The former president confirmed his relationship with Putin and said the invasion of Ukraine would not have happened under him because he allegedly “gets along” with the Russian dictator.
Trump has also said he has a good relationship with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and has said he will end the war in Eastern Europe before he is re-elected head of state.
“Biden has done nothing about it — Putin hasn’t even spoken to him in over a year. This is a war that must be ended, and I’m going to end this war… I’m going to try to end this war as president-elect, like I’m the people they stopped dying, that’s all,” said the US presidential candidate.
We remind you that President Vladimir Zelensky said that Donald Trump promised him to support Ukraine if he wins the election.
