The EUMAM mission was created in October 2022 to help train Ukrainian military personnel.
EU Foreign Ministers decided on 14 October to extend the EU Training Mission (EUMAM) for a further two years. This was announced by EU High Representative Josep Borrell at a press conference following the meeting, writes European Pravda.
According to him, currently the Armed Forces of Ukraine are under great pressure on the entire front line, which has become greater than before the beginning of summer.
“The Ukrainian Armed Forces must be given more opportunities. The Training Mission must be extended. The mandate of the EUMAM mission will be extended for the next two years,” he announced, adding that he hoped to reach a consensus decision in the Council of the EU.
We remind you that the EUMAM mission was created in October 2022 to help train Ukrainian military personnel. Within EUMAM, training continues mainly in Poland and Germany.
Earlier, the Canadian military showed how they are teaching Ukrainian defenders tactical medicine skills.
