Military personnel can cross the border on a general basis if they have permission from the commander of the military unit.
Since the start of Russia’s massive invasion, 46 Ukrainian military personnel have gone abroad on vacation and never returned. This was reported by Slidstvo.Info with reference to data from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
According to the Chief Director of the Military Service, military personnel can cross the border on a general basis if they have permission from the commander of the military unit. In this case, the vacation time is not limited, and in order to leave, you only need to provide the appropriate document with permission to travel abroad.
It is known that as of September 30, 2024, 46 cases were recorded when military personnel did not return to Ukraine after vacationing abroad. They are designated as deserters from military units without permission.
We remind you that having a military registration document when crossing the border is a mandatory condition for all male citizens of Ukraine aged 18 to 60 years from July 17.
As reported, according to the State Border Guard Service, the number of people who want to illegally cross the state border has decreased by 20% compared to the summer months.
