South Korea has warned that North Korea will see “the end of its regime” if it causes any harm to its people.
North Korea has threatened a “terrible catastrophe” over South Korea’s alleged drone flight over Pyongyang. In response, South Korea said that such provocations only worsen the conflict between the countries. Yonhap News Agency reported this on Sunday, October 13.
South Korea has warned that North Korea will see “the end of its regime” if it causes any harm to its people.
North Korea recently announced that South Korean drones were allegedly seen over Pyongyang three times in a month. After that, the sister of the leader of North Korea, Kim Yo Jong, began to threaten a terrible disaster for the country.
“The moment a ROK drone is detected again in the sky over our capital will definitely lead to a terrible disaster,” he said.
In this regard, the Ministry of Defense of South Korea emphasized that the words of Kim Yo Jong “reveal the hypocritical behavior” of North Korea, which continues to provoke provocations.
“We warn that if North Korea harms the security of our people, this day will be the end of the North Korean regime,” it added.
That same day, North Korea again threw balloons filled with garbage over the border with South Korea.
Let’s recall that in September the United States and South Korea conducted exercises to land several thousand amphibious troops on the Korean coast of the Sea of Japan, involving dozens of ships, amphibious armored vehicles and combat aircraft.
Relations between South Korea and the DPRK are reportedly at their lowest point in decades as the DPRK seeks to develop its nuclear and missile capabilities and moves toward cutting ties with South Korea.
