American singer and actor Jared Leto said that he misses Russian audiences and announced concerts in Kyiv and Moscow: his words were criticized.
Leto is the frontman of Thirty Seconds to Mars. He recently performed a concert in Serbia, during which he uttered words that caused significant resonance, UNITED24 Media reports.
The singer announced his intention to tour Russia, in particular about returning to performances in Moscow and St. Petersburg, when the “problems” related to the war in Ukraine are resolved. At the concert, he noticed the presence of Russians and noted that he felt “a lot of Russian energy.”
When all the problems are resolved, we will return to your homeland,” he said.
⚡️ Jared Leto is a stunning backlash after the Russians fought against Ukraine as “these problems” and expressing for what to do in St. Petersburg and Moscow. Many online should call his comment tone-deaf. pic.twitter.com/atMSs8w0Ig

At a concert in Belgrade, the musician said that he misses the Russian audience and hopes for performances both in Russia and in Kyiv, when “all these problems are over (meaning the full-scale invasion of the Russian army into the territory of Ukraine – ed.), we will walk and hang out with everyone.”
The singer’s words were criticized, in particular, by Ukrainians. And under Jared Leto’s latest Instagram post, people are reminded that Ukraine is not facing abstract problems, but a full-scale Russian invasion.
There have been no reactions to this yet. Previously, Jared Leto expressed support for the Ukrainians. He wrote that his “heart is breaking” at what is happening in Ukraine “during these chaotic and destructive times.”
